Indoor air is three times more polluted than outdoor air and according to the EPA, is considered to be one of the top five hazards to human health. Traditional paints and finishes release low level toxic emissions into the air for years after application. The source of these toxins are a variety of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which, until recently, were essential to the performance of paints and finishes. However, new environmental regulations and consumer demand have lead to the development of low or no VOCs paints and finishes. This is great news for us at Mathew Hall. We want our customers to have options when considering what products to put in their homes. Offering low VOC alternatives is one more way we can do our part to help to protect the environment and the health of our consumers.
